Shaffer's Mobile Home Transport and Wrecker Service was founded by James and Christine Shaffer along with family in 1997. The Shaffer family moved mobile homes and started on police rotation for the county. The Shaffer family then decided to get out of the Mobile Home Transport in 2003. Shaffers then begun Auto Repair along side their wrecker service, at 3560 Old Highway 135 SW. Corydon, IN. Shaffer's 24 hour Towing & Recovery And Quality Auto & Tire Sales & Service, LLC soon outgrew that building and moved to 204 W. Walnut St. Corydon, IN in 2017. Christine Shaffer then added a business of her own at 219 W. High St. Corydon of Oaklyn Bookeeping and Taxes in 2018. In 2020 Auto Repair outgrew 204 W. Walnut St., so the Shaffers acquired 207 W. Walnut St. Corydon (John D Building). The Shaffer family then experienced the loss of founder/owner James B. Shaffer on May 7, 2021 and the business is being continued by his wife Christine Shaffer and their family. In July 2021 Christine then changed to Shaffers Towing Recovery & Auto Repair INC. and is running business as usual to provide outstanding customer service.
